VIEW 2011 RESULTS NOW

Fighting Hunger 5K Date: November 5, 2011

Location: Matthew 25: Ministries

Course: The USATF certified course starts at Matthew 25: Ministries. Head south on Kenwood Road. Turn right on Glendale-Milford Road. Turn right on Reed Hartman. Turn right on Cornell Road. Turn right on Kenwood Road. Finish back at Matthew 25: Ministries. For the efficiency of our timing system and in order to reopen roads in a timely fashion, no one will be permitted to start the race after 8:40 AM. There is one water station along the route. Registration: Online registration is now closed for this event. You may register at Matthew 25: Ministries during packet pick-up on Thursday, November 3, 2 PM - 8 PM, or Friday, November 4, 11AM - 7PM. You may also register on race day starting at 7AM. Get directions to Matthew 25. Print a registration form here to bring to packet pick-up (the forms used on race day will be different).
Strollers are permitted in this event. All strollers are asked to please line up towards the back of the start line. Registration is not necessary for children in strollers unless you would like your child to receive any of the amenities from the race, including the race t-shirt, goody bag or after-race refreshments.
Registration Rates: Registration fees for all participants include a long-sleeve Fighting Hunger 5K t-shirt, a goody bag, and post-race refreshments (don't miss the chocolate fountain!). Team Captains will also receive a free "champion gift" for recruiting group members. All printed group entry forms and fees must be submitted together. - Pre-Registration* - $20 adults; $15 students
- Race Day Registration* - $25 adults; $20 students
- Team Rates (6 or more)* - $14 per person pre-registered; $19 on race day
*PLEASE NOTE: Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on Wednesday,
November 2, 2011. Pre-registration is available at packet pick-up
through Friday at 7 PM. Race day registration opens at 7:00 AM at
Matthew 25: Ministries.
Online Fundraising: NEW THIS YEAR! Registered participants now have the option to fundraise as a team and/or individual. Fundraisers may qualify to win various incentive prizes for their efforts. Fundraising is still open. Donate today.
Packet Pick-Up: Pick up your packet prior to race day and receive a FREE pair of gloves, courtesy of Hot Head Burritos. Participants may pick up their race packets (bib number, t-shirt & goody bag) prior to race day at Matthew 25: Ministries (11060 Kenwood Road 45242) during the following times:
- Thursday, Nov. 3, from 2pm to 8pm
- Friday, Nov. 4, from 11am to 7pm
Race registration will be available during these times at pre-registration rates. Packets will also be available for pick-up on the morning of the race.
Awards: The awards ceremony and celebration follows the race at approximately 10:00 AM. Award categories are for runners only and are separated by gender and age: 14
& under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-69, 70/over.
- Awards to first three male & female finishers (based on gun time)
- Awards to top three runners in each category (based on chip time)
- Door prizes awarded at random
Parking: Matthew 25: Ministries’ lot will be closed to all general parking. All general
event parking will be located at Procter & Gamble, 11510-11590 Reed Hartman Hwy,
Cincinnati, OH
45241. Only the main
gates to P&G will be open, so everyone must enter from Reed Hartman. FREE
shuttles will run from the lots on both the east and west sides of Reed Hartman.
Please arrive early to allow for shuttle
times and crowds. View the parking map.
Shuttles: Shuttle service will
run initially from 6:45 AM – 8:15
AM. Shuttle service will
temporarily pause once the race begins and resume at approximately 9:05 a.m. as
roads along the route begin to re-open.
Shuttles will then continue to run until 10:45 AM. Shuttles will run
approximately 5 minutes apart. Again,
8:15 AM is the last pick-up time
at P&G before the start of the race.
For transportation back to parking at the P&G lots from Matthew 25: Ministries, use the shuttle stop on Osborne Blvd (see parking map).

Direction to event parking at Procter & Gamble - Take I-275
to exit 47 for Reed Hartman Hwy. Turn south onto Reed Hartman Hwy. Continue for approximately 0.7 miles. Turn either left or right onto
P&G’s campus (at stop light) and follow signs toward parking lots.

- For the safety of all participants, please do not bring non-essential sporting equipment such as frisbees, beach balls, footballs or other similar items onto the course.
- Due to liability insurance reasons, pets are not permitted on the course.
