Volunteer Guidelines

Volunteers play an essential role in the work of Matthew 25: Ministries. The donated goods we receive must be sorted, counted, packaged, and put on pallets ready for shipment to various parts of the world. There is a job for everyone!

Saturday Volunteers
Typically, Saturdays are Matthew 25's busiest volunteer day and we try our best to place all volunteers at work stations as quickly as possible. We ask that groups of 4 or more schedule ahead of time to volunteer on Saturdays so that we can ensure we are properly staffed and have sufficient work stations set up. In order to ensure the best volunteer experience for everyone, Saturday groups are scheduled in two-hour increments from 9 AM – 11AM or 11AM – 1PM. Walk-in individual volunteers are welcome to come between 1 PM – 3 PM. We truly appreciate your help serving those in need! See below for more info.

Carpooling is encouraged whenever possible. Matthew 25: Ministries has a spacious parking lot, but also welcomes hundreds of volunteers each day. Please consider carpooling to save on gas and to help ensure that there is enough parking for all our volunteers. Thank you!

Individual Volunteers

Individuals may come to volunteer without appointment any weekday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, and on Saturdays between 1 PM – 3 PM. We are closed on Sundays and some holiday weekends, so please check our website or call ahead to confirm our hours.

Individuals needing service hour verification must track his/her own hours and have a Matthew 25 representative verify hours at the end of each session. Matthew 25: Ministries is not responsible for tracking individuals’ service hours and cannot verify hours after the date served.

Groups of Volunteers

Groups of 4 or more must schedule their visit ahead of time. Please contact Anita Bowman to schedule a weekday volunteer group or contact Shelly Clos to schedule a Saturday volunteer group. Please do not consider your group officially scheduled until you receive personal confirmation from a volunteer coordinator.

Groups may fill out the Volunteer Form to request to schedule a date. Once you fill out the form, Shelly or Anita will contact you to confirm your request. Please do not consider your group scheduled until you receive personal confirmation.

Child Volunteer Policy

There are many jobs in the warehouse that children of all ages can do. They are welcome under the following guidelines:

All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Children under 8 – 1 adult for every child
  • Children 9-11 – 1 adult for every 2 children
  • Children 12-16 – 1 adult for every 3 children
  • 16 and over – may work alone, but if in groups of more than 5 an adult must be present

Volunteer FORMS
